I was listening to the radio yesterday, and there was a man
on who was talking about everything that was going on in America and the
world, with the collapsing economy, and everything just seeming like it's
falling apart. After I turned the radio off I started thinking about the way
we're heading, and I'm so thankful that God has told me in His word that I have
a future and a hope. If I had to rely on the strength of men, and the political
power of the world I would feel so insecure.
But thinking about everything going on makes me realize even more that we are living in the last days. 2 Timothy 3:1-4 directly describes the times in which we live. 2 Timothy 3:1-4 says - "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."
But thinking about everything going on makes me realize even more that we are living in the last days. 2 Timothy 3:1-4 directly describes the times in which we live. 2 Timothy 3:1-4 says - "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. The beginning of the book of Habakkuk also makes me think of these days that we're living in. Habakkuk asks, - "How long, O LORD, will I call for help, And You will not hear? I cry out to You, "Violence!" Yet You do not save. Why do You make me see iniquity, And cause me to look on wickedness? Yes, destruction and violence are before me; Strife exists and contention arises. Therefore the law is ignored And justice is never upheld For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore justice comes out perverted."
But God answered Habakkuk by saying, - "Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! Wonder! Because I am doing something in your days-- You would not believe if you were told."
I believe that it is the same today. Everything just seems to be going downhill fast, but God is doing something in our days. The last days. I believe that everything that is going on is leading to a centralized government, a one world order. And it's amazing to think that God placed us here at this time for a reason. God is a personal God. He didn't just toss us into time and see where we would land. He could have placed us anywhere in time. He could have chosen to place us here before Christ, or at the time when He was on the earth, or any other time in history, but He didn't. God isn't random either. He placed each one of us here in His perfect timing for His own good purpose.
We don't need to be discouraged by the things that are taking place. God knows what He's doing. And I believe that He can still save this nation. But it starts with us.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
In these last days, these wicked times in which we live, lets make a stand for Christ.
