Proverbs 11:24-25 (9-11-10)

Proverbs 11:24-25 - “There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, And there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. The generous man will be prosperous, And he who waters will himself be watered.”
This is the exact opposite of the way the world thinks. The worlds mindset is that you have to work hard to gather and save as much as you can so that you can retire early and live out the rest of your life in happiness, but we're told right here in scripture, 'there is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more.' God doesn't lie. If I give what He's given me, I'll increase. If I withhold, I'll want. If I water, I'll be watered.
I think this applies to both the physical and the spiritual. If we're faithful stewards of the things God has given us, than He will continue to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. If we're faithful in sharing what He has been teaching us in His word, than He'll continue to teach us. If we water others with the word, than we'll in turn be watered. Watering produces growth. If we help others grow than we'll grow.

Matthew 10:8 - "Freely you received, freely give."
